We've been using this camera as a baby monitor for nearly a year and am quite pleased with the purchase. We set it up for viewing on our network. It is encrypted/private, pans all over and has excellent night vision. Most importantly, for babies, it pans quietly and has no annoying lights on the exterior to distract the child. We couldn't live without it.

We wanted to have a way to monitor our home when we were away on vacation.
Most of the people we talked to suggested the Panasonic cameras,
but after reading many of the reviews and comparing the features of the Foscam with the Panasonic offerings,
we decided the Dropcam was worth trying. We have been pretty happy with our Foscam, with the exception of poor motion dection at night. Motion detection works great in a room during the daylight hours, while motion detection is poor when room is lit with artificial light (ie, your regular incandescent light bulbs in your lamps in your room).

I purchased two foscam wireless cameras for home surveillance. Both cameras work perfectly. The cameras can email pictures or ftp them. The scheduling feature is nice, in that you can easily control how often you receive an email
picture from each camera, so great!

The image quality is awesome and the night vision on this IP camera is also great. I have no idea how good the more expensive models are, but this camera, for the money, is a great deal.
