Pulse Heart Rate Calories Monitor Watch Sport Fitness

This watch is a lifestyle monitor. You wear it as a wristwatch all day long and enter into it the calories as you eat them. Then during exercise, it tracks the calories you burn as determined by your heart rate and time. At the end of your workout, you subtract those from the total for the day. The watch is easier to use than my old Timex Ironman (which had no heart rate or calorie features) in that the buttons are larger & easier to push, and the mode selection & setting is a little easier to remember or figure out.

I think this is going to be very useful for me. It is interesting to see how the rate can fluctuate even with a small change in activity, and it helps you keep your heart rate at the proper exercise level, not too high not too low. The accuracy is reasonable given the low price.

This monitor will give you what you need without all the bells and whistles. They have all the basic features including your heart rate, calorie counter, time of day display and a daily reminder alarm. That's nice for me! Also, you wouldn't have to spend hours reading the manual to figure out how to set it up. It's simple and quite easy to use.

I like this thing quite a lot. I've had it for about three weeks, and have used it on 12 workouts so far. I use it primarily for running, with biking a secondary usage.The reading is accurate. It works great for the price.

Do you have to maually touch this watch w the opposite hand (fingers) to get a reading or does it take the heart rate automatically?
