This really works as advertised. I found my dog immediately was much more aware of the pressure when she pulled and she instinctively stopped pulling as much when she felt the pressure. It still takes some training to develop good on-leash walking skills, but this has made a huge difference. It does have to be re-tightened from time to time but its not too bad, though this would be an area for improvement. Be aware though that as it does state in the directions, it will not have the desired results if you use it with a flexi-leash. I can't explain exactly why but after trying it I found the the pulling was getting worse again.
