I bought this item as a gift and wasn't expecting much for the price. To my pleasant surprise the item is quite beautiful. I've never seen an hourglass with red sand before, and came across this by accident while searching for red items, for that is my recipient's favorite color. The red sand goes beautifully with the red cap. The plastic tube seems not to be fragile as I feared. It is can be used as a timer or a toy. It is very useful in improving kids' concentration and focus while doing homework and other short activities. All in all this is a lovely gift and the price makes it even better! I plan to see what other color combinations they have for other gifts. Highly recommended!
